Growing up in Atlanta, GA, T. J. Kirby used to
spend his allowance every week on two 45 RPM records. He realized what his
destiny would be back then, as he's been heavily involved in the music and
entertainment industry ever since. After
graduating from broadcasting school in Atlanta, T.J. later worked for both
WRFG and WCLK radio stations. He also began a songwriting career while living
in Atlanta and was heavily involved in the music business. One of his
earliest accomplishments was being one of the original founders of the
Atlanta Songwriters Association. He is a published songwriter with songs
recorded by Cristy Lane and others.
In 1981, T.J. moved to Nashville, Tennessee and worked
for several major radio stations such as Oldies 96.3, WSVT, WLAC and WYXE.
He's also been involved with radio and television syndication, working with
such shows as: Highway To Heaven, the Whoopi Goldberg Show, Best of National
Geographic, Crook & Chase, and This Week in Country Music, to name a few.
In 1985, he hosted his own television talk show called "T. J. and
Friends", where he interviewed various celebrities.
T.J. has also worked in sales, marketing, promotions, and public
relations.

"Rockin' "
Wendy V (Wendy
Vickers) joined T.J. and Company in January of 2010 as T.J.'s
on-air
sidekick and show co-producer, returning to her original time slot when she
started on Radio
Free Nashville. Her previous show, "Never Too Old", ran on WRFN from September
2008 to December 2009. Wendy is known in music circles as "the encouraging angel",
and "the best friend a
struggling songwriter's ever had." She has a rewarding
history of
encouragement to musicians as a music journalist, promotion
consultant, life coach and
speaker. Her "Frequency To The Heart" feature on the show draws
from her "Encouraging Words"
pieces on her Embrace
Encouragement website.
A diverse and skillful writer, her articles on fan support and
encouragement are featured on several
music industry related websites. Her
audiobook CD, "Treasures In the Tip Jar: the Art of
Awesome Fan
Support", and e-booklet "Promoting and Marketing Your Musical
Talent" offer
practical, common sense marketing support for beginning
and professional musicians and their
fans. Her online newsletters and blogs
have been support vehicles for singer/songwriters
and independent musicians
for over a decade. Wendy's blog "Wendy V's Nashville Blend",
is
gaining serious notice in the Music Row community and artists use quotes from
it often
in their press kits. Wendy also writes the T.J. and Company
show
blog.
